At Cranfield Design Lab, we derive immense pride and satisfaction from transforming entrepreneurial visions into compelling brands. Our most recent collaboration was with a talented eyelash technician artist based in Heathfield, East Sussex, who aimed to carve out a niche in the fiercely competitive beauty industry. Our mission was to design a comprehensive branding kit that would resonate with her unique style and professional aspirations.
The journey to crafting a seamless brand began with an in-depth consultation. This initial meeting was in person over coffee and crucial for understanding the entrepreneur's brand values, target audience, and aesthetic preferences. We drew inspiration from her passion for beauty and her meticulous attention to detail, which would become the cornerstones of her brand identity.
During this consultation, we discussed various elements that would define her brand's personality, including colour schemes, typography, and imagery. This collaborative brainstorming session allowed us to tap into her vision and translate it into visual and conceptual elements that would set her apart in the beauty market.
The centrepiece of any strong brand identity is the logo, and we poured our creativity into designing one that would capture her brand's essence. The final logo featured a sleek and elegant design combining a love heart and an eyelash, graphically symbolizing the brand name "Love-Lashes." This clever integration of imagery created a memorable and visually appealing logo.
We chose a graceful typeface that complemented the delicate, eye-inspired graphics, striking a perfect balance between sophistication and approachability. The logo not only embodied her passion for beauty but also conveyed a sense of professionalism and elegance that would appeal to her target audience.
